Job Description


To assist in establishment and achievement of departmental goals and objectives through participation in planning, management, coordination, implementation and evaluation of overall laboratory services and education. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities
• Assess lab systems and design, develop, implement, direct, monitor and evaluate new systems, projects and programs; update existing services on an ongoing basis and/or as assigned.
• Manage lab business practices in order to maximize revenue and justify human and material resource allocation
• Design, develop, implement and evaluate a comprehensive effective quality assurance program to ensure cost effective quality health care for patients.
• Maintain responsibility for personnel management in those areas designated by the Medical Director and participate in providing an effective workforce for the overall department.
• Develop and ensure implementation and documentation of departmental operating policies and procedures in accordance with institutional policies and requirements of regulatory agencies for designated lab sections and participate in overall departmental policy development as required.

Minimum Required
Four (4) years of Medical Technologist experience. One (1) year of previous experience in a supervisory role.

Minimum Required Preferred/Desired
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related Field.

Preferred/Desired
Master's Degree in Business Admin or Healthcare Leadership.
