Can you diagnose an HVAC system and handle a plumbing service call?
Then you're exactly the kind of technician we're looking for.
Blue Collars Plumbing & HVAC is growing our Columbia operation, and we're looking for a unique technician who is truly comfortable in both trades.
This is not an HVAC position where plumbing experience is a "plus."
And it's not a plumbing position where knowing a little HVAC gets you bonus points.
You need to be able to run both.
We're looking for someone who can be dispatched to an HVAC no-cool in the morning, diagnose and repair the system, then handle a plumbing leak, water heater, fixture, or other service call that afternoon.
If you like variety, know how to troubleshoot, and take pride in being the person who can figure things out, this could be a great fit.
One day could include:
The next day could be completely different.
That's the point.
We're looking for a well-rounded service technician, not someone limited to one type of call.
You should be capable of independently diagnosing HVAC problems—not simply changing parts.
We're not necessarily looking for a master plumber.
We are looking for someone who can confidently run everyday plumbing service calls without needing someone else to finish the job.
Maybe you started in HVAC and picked up plumbing along the way.
Maybe you've worked for a company where technicians were expected to know both.
Maybe you're simply the person who never liked saying:
"That's not my trade."
That's the mentality we're looking for.
Experience in BOTH HVAC and plumbing is required for this position.
We're growing quickly, and our Columbia operation is a major part of where we're headed.
That creates an opportunity to join the team while we're still building it.
We're looking for technicians who don't just want another truck and another dispatch board.
We want people who want responsibility, opportunity, and room to grow as the company grows.
You're confident walking up to an HVAC system with a meter in your hand.
You're equally comfortable grabbing your plumbing tools for the next call.
You troubleshoot before you guess.
You take ownership of your work.
You communicate well with customers.
And when something isn't working, your first instinct is:
If you can genuinely work in both trades, we want to hear from you.
