Job Description

Starting Wage 29.00

Specific Primary Duties:

  • Operate all Blow Mold equipment safely and efficiently while achieving exceptional quality.
  • Visually checks the work area and all the machines you will be running during the shift.
  • Completes bottle weight and Quality checks to ensure they are within spec (Minimum every 30 Minutes).
  • Perform wheel audit on all wheels to check for leakers, detached wings, damage or deformities to the bottles.
  • Do necessary repairs or adjustments to all Blow Mold equipment as needed.
  • Perform Equipment Owner duties on all Blow Mold equipment.
  • Complete all paperwork thoroughly throughout and at the end of shift.
  • Keep Blow Mold area and shop clean and free of debris and apply 5S.
  • Discuss any problems that may be occurring with the operator(s) on the previous shift and the following shift.
  • Perform sanitation responsibilities as needed and/or required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in the blow molding OT rotation.

Specific Secondary Duties:

  • Support relief duties as assigned by the shift Lead.
  • Conduct all necessary Quality and Production checks as normal to operations.
  • Start, stop, and interact with a filling machine as required during normal operations.
  • Actively use the inputs (bottles) observed during relief to drive continuous improvements in Blow Molding.
  • Eligible to volunteer for fill room OT (as the least senior volunteer)

  • Make safety a priority. Participate in team safety efforts to achieve/exceed plant goals.
  • Involvement & supportive of KHMS teams & processes.
  • Perform all duties safely & use discretion to prevent injuries to self and/or others.
  • Must be trained in and follow plant LOTO Procedures.

Quality Responsibility:

  • Make Quality a priority. Ensure the quality of our products and our workplace by following all procedures and guidelines.
  • Follow all established GMP's, HACCP guidelines, Housekeeping responsibilities and QRMP operating procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of the QRMP program and training of new associates.

Productivity Responsibility:

  • Actively participate in team goal setting/implementation to ensure that we are the low cost, high quality producer.
  • Strive to improve the efficiency of the plant/department by submitting and implementing process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Able to work well within a team as well as work effectively with co-workers and management.
  • With minimal oversight be motivated and consistent in completing posted/communicated plans.
  • Maintain transparent, accurate, and detailed records in production documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrate basic math, measurement, and computer skills.
  • Able to lift 25 Lbs. climb ladders, and function in “dusty” environments.
  • Must demonstrate an ownership mentality, taking personal responsibility for the improvement in condition and performance of the equipment in the area.
  • Perform a magnitude of maintenance skills and capabilities with evidence provided through skill based step-up card.
  • Pass the “Blow Molding Quiz” by the 30th day of training. (100%)
  • May be required to provide tools to perform duties beyond what is normally provided by the factory.
