Description & Requirements

Bloomberg Intelligence (BI) delivers independent, data-driven research and interactive datasets integrated into the Bloomberg Terminal, helping investment professionals make decisions faster. BI combines analyst expertise with interactive data, proprietarymodels and emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to deliver faster, deeper and more differentiated research. With 500+ research professionals, BI provides company, credit, industry and strategy research across major global markets, covering 135+ industries and 2,000+ companies, including perspectives on company fundamentals as well as government policy, litigation and ESG. Our research and datasets are delivered through curated Terminal dashboards and interactive research decks, with underlying data typically one click away, drawing on proprietary Bloomberg sources and 600+ data contributors.

Bloomberg Intelligence is seeking a highly motivated and organized associate to join our Strategic Data and Content team in London for an initial 12 months contract. In this role, you will use your project management and analytical skills to help execute and evolve primary research, data science and expert content initiatives across Bloomberg Intelligence's global footprint. Under the guidance of the Head of Strategic Data and Content you'll work closely with research analysts, editors and our marketing team to ensure the smooth delivery of a high volume of projects against agreed deadlines and objectives. There'll also be an opportunity to help design projects, contribute to the analysis and influence the final research output.

What's in it for you:

This is a dynamic role requiring a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can seamlessly manage multiple moving parts, and is passionate about the power of proprietary data.

We'll trust you to:

  • Project Management: Juggle multiple research projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables are met on time without sacrificing quality.
  • Primary Research: End-to-end oversight of consumer and B2B research surveys, working with analyst teams and external partners on questionnaire design, sample management, data analysis, report production and marketing.
  • Data Translation: Working with analyst teams to transform raw survey data and proprietary datasets into compelling, action-oriented insights that support the broader investment research process.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with analyst teams, editorial, and marketing to understand research objectives and present data-driven findings clearly.
  • Data Management & Visualization: Work with analyst teams and BI's Data Solutions team to build and maintain high-quality data models (Excel and on-terminal); and draft polished, impactful charts and presentations for internal and external audiences.

You need to have:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience working in a strategic insights, data analytics, or primary research role (ideally within financial services, market research or consulting).
  • Research Acumen: Strong familiarity with the investment research process and an understanding of how proprietary data is used to develop unique market insights.
  • Methodological Expertise: Proven track record of developing and administering primary research projects across consumer and B2B audiences.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Highly numerate with advanced proficiency in MS Excel (complex formulas, data modeling) and MS PowerPoint (clear storytelling and data visualization).
  • Communication: Exceptional English language skills (written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Project Management: Exceptionally well-organized with the proven ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Mindset: A self-starter who is highly flexible, adaptable to changing priorities, and comfortable working with ambiguity.

We'd love to see:

  • Familiarity with Python for data manipulation and analysis.
  • An interest in, or exposure to, integrating AI tools into research workflows.

If indicated, please note that years of experience are a guide; we will consider applications from all candidates who can demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.
