Job Description

  • Testing the quality and compatibility of blood for transfusion

  • Coordinating the procurement, stock management, and distribution of blood to various hospital departments

  • Managing data and records related to the Blood Bank

  • Monitoring the quality and safety of blood, as well as the stability of temperature, reagents, and screening cells

  • Adhering to Blood Bank protocols and standard operating procedures

  • Collaborating with the Head of the Blood Bank to regularly update and review SOPs

  • Ensuring the quality and safety of all Blood Bank services in accordance with applicable guidelines

  • Preventing errors in blood identification and distribution

  • Managing blood supply efficiently, ensuring timely and appropriate use based on clinical indications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a D3 (Associate Degree) in Blood Transfusion Technology

  • At least 1 year of work experience in a Blood Bank or clinical laboratory

  • Certified training and Blood Bank certification are preferred

  • Good knowledge of Blood Bank regulations and standards

  • Demonstrates leadership, analytical skills, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
