Job Description

This position is responsible for the Block Department support as listed below for Texas Speed and

Performance.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Engine Tear Down Process (Label components and maintain traceability)
• Visual Inspection of all blocks from start to finish
• Hone main bores and fit main bearings.
• Hone cylinder bores
• Hone Rods and fit rod bearings
• Prep blocks and visually inspect blocks before machining
• Prep blocks for engine builds (install cam bearings and plugs)
• Prep sleeves and block for sleeving (deburr sleeves / heat block in oven)
• Sleeve Installation Lead
• Maintains positive working relationship with manufacturing personnel and other staff members to support a positive workplace environment.
• Responsible for implementing and enforcing industry standard safety procedures throughout the block department.
• Performs and executes all other duties assigned by direct manager.

Requirements

• Dynamic, high-energy individual with a track record as an effective communicator and uses a collaborative approach to problem solving.
• Exceptional Mechanical Abilities
• 2+ Years’ Experience using Cylinder Hone and Line Hone Equipment
• 5+ Years Engine Building Experience Preferred
• Be able to use Measuring Equipment (Mics, Calipers, Bore Gauge, ect..)
