The Blending Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring blending equipment used to produce high-quality vinyl compounds. This role requires attention to detail, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

  • Safely operate mixers and blending equipment according to production formulas.
  • Weigh and measure raw materials to ensure product quality.
  • Load ingredients into automated blending systems.
  • Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment (certification provided/required).
  • Monitor production, complete productivity and downtime reports.
  • Perform quality checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Load and unload railcars and trucks while following all safety procedures.
  • Maintain FIFO inventory practices.
  • Keep the blending area, silos, docks, and work areas clean and organized.
  • Support Maintenance by identifying equipment issues and submitting work orders.
  • Assist other departments when needed.
  • Read and respond to company emails and production communications.
  • Follow all safety policies, standard work procedures, and quality requirements.

What We're Looking For

Safety-first mindset

High School Diploma or GED

Forklift experience preferred

Manufacturing experience preferred

Plastics extrusion or vinyl siding experience is a plus

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel)

Basic math skills (fractions, percentages, measurements)

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights up to 70 feet

Dependable, flexible, and motivated to learn
