Lactalis Heritage Dairy, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Blender Operator based in Wausau WI

The Blender Operator set up, operate and tend to machines to mix or blend raw materials, while ensuring food safety.

From your EXPERTISE to ours:

Key responsibilities for this position include:

· Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, and products to ensure conformance to requirements.

· Test samples of materials or products to ensure compliance with specifications, using test equipment.

· Start machines to mix or blend ingredients; then allow them to mix for specified times.

· Observe production and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

· Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.

· Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas, using moving equipment and hand tools.

· Accurate and timely completion of documentation including SAP.

· Clean and maintain equipment, using hand tools.

· Perform data entry of weights, downtime accumulation, SAP, Quality checks etc.

· Perform mechanical on-line adjustments and calibration of equipment, including changeovers and assist in troubleshooting and problem diagnosis.

· Responsible for staging and back staging materials in SAP

· Perform Sanitation of equipment including cleaner strength testing.

· Comply with company policies, GMP and Safety Rules.

· Familiar with Quality programs as outlined in QRMP such as GMP’s, Traceability, HACCP, Allergens, CCP, hold process and verifying raw ingredients.

· Perform other duties as directed by the Team Leader and/or DRE as needed.

· Performs all applicable HACCP and Quality Guidelines.

· Observes all Safety, Environmental Regulations, Accident Prevention Procedures, Food Safety Procedure and GMP’s.

· When proficient train other employees.

Education and Experience

· High School Diploma/GED

· At least 1 yr. previous manufacturing experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Previous food manufacturing experience a plus

· Use of motorized hand truck/ pallet jack is required (training provided)

· Use of fork truck (PIT) is required (training provided)

· Must wear PPE (ear protection, steel-toed shoes, bump cap / hard hat, sanitation gear)

· Must be dedicated to personal safety and food safety
