Job Description

We are seeking a Blaster to join or team. The Blaster plays a critical role in the aircraft landing gear overhaul process by preparing components for plating and refinishing. This position is responsible for the removal of paint and surface contaminants from landing gear parts, ensuring they are properly prepared for chrome, nickel, cadmium, and other specialized plating processes. The Blaster helps maintain the efficiency and quality of the overhaul process by adhering to high standards of precision and safety. This position is based in Medley, FL

  Eligibility Requirement Only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this position.


Responsibilities:
  • Blast paint and coatings from incoming landing gear components to prepare them for further processing
  • Precisely blast designated areas on components to prepare surfaces for chrome and nickel plating
  • Perform blasting operations for cadmium and other specialized coatings, including "Fun Nital"
  • Operate and maintain blasting equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations
  • Inspect surfaces after blasting to ensure quality standards are met and areas are properly prepped for plating
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support production goals
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience or training in blasting or surface preparation
  • Experience in aerospace or landing gear components
  • Knowledge of plating processes and industry safety standards
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed
