Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Individual to join our Material and Analytical Sciences department located at our Ridgefield facility. As a Spring Co-Op, you will be working in a dynamic, collaborative environment by comparing PION and t-TIM datasets and apply predictive modeling approaches that support early biopharmaceutic decisions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of dissolution and t-TIM data and their relevance to drug-product biopharmaceutics and early development decisions.
• Compile, organize, harmonize, and perform quality checks on PION, t-TIM, formulation, and available clinical data.
• Analyze trends and correlations across datasets to evaluate relationships among in vitro results, formulation attributes, and available clinical outcomes.
• Apply statistical analysis, data visualization, and predictive modeling approaches under scientific guidance.
• Summarize findings and present recommendations.

Requirements

• Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing pursuing a degree in Mechanical/ Chemical / Material Engineering or pharmaceutical sciences background or a related discipline.
• Student must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the co-op.
• Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred.
• Major or minor in related field of co-op.
• Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university.
• Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university.

Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:

• Basic understanding of biopharmaceutics, drug dissolution, formulation development, or gastrointestinal modeling including relevant characterization techniques is preferred
• Experience collecting, organizing, and performing quality checks on scientific data.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and visualization using tools such as Python, R, JMP, MATLAB, or Excel.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
• Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Compensation Data

This position offers an hourly rate of $24 to $33 commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled. For an overview of our benefits please click here
