Momentum Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) award is a U.S. funded global award, that works in tandem with country governments and local nongovernmental organizations to provide targeted technical and capacity development assistance and contribute to the global technical leadership and policy dialogue on improving measurable outcomes for maternal, reproductive, newborn and child health, and voluntary family planning.
The Biomedical Engineer/Procurement Officer will work on providing guidance with the implementation of the activity plan for the MCGL-EJHN for designated health facilities. S/he will provide guidance and oversight for medical equipment planning, specifications, procurement, deployment and operation to the supported hospitals.
EJHN comprises six non-profit, charitable hospitals that have a long history of providing services to patients from East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza. The EJHN program will support hospitals within the network to improve quality of services for patients from the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem.

Salary Range: ILS 160,031 to ILS 177,573 per annum
Actual compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, skills, and alignment with organizational compensation policies.
Engage in the development, review, and analysis of medical equipment planning for procurement under the Momentum project as appropriate for purpose.
Co-define technical specifications of medical equipment as related to clinical needs per hospital with relevant parties.
Perform needs assessment for requested medical equipment per hospital and co-define utilization projection with relevant parties.
Prioritize order of listed equipment per approved criteria withing budget for every hospital
Review procurement documentation to make sure compliance with needs requested
Participate in procurement committee and consult for matters related
Perform research on medical technologies as they may relate to defined gaps in technology performance within the hospitals network
Codevelop a plan with every hospital’s relevant parties for the proper installation, and defined operations parameters and training for final testing before transfer
Monitor, evaluate and report on the progress of project implementation as related to medical equipment and provide technical-level assistance to hospitals where needed throughout cycle.
Assist in receiving procedures with hospitals’ teams and support equipment Installation, calibration, end-user training (clinical and non-clinical staff), commissioning, and maintenance, in the hospitals.
Assist technical staff in every hospital for proper management of medical equipment quality
Provide support on clinical application and guidelines of operation, safety,…etc.
Implement an exit strategy that enhances continuity and sustainability in utilization.
Undertake other tasks that may be assigned.
