The Biology Lab Coordinator supports biology laboratory courses by teaching two lab sections per semester, providing emergency instructional coverage, and ensuring continuity of lab delivery. The role manages laboratory operations for Microbiology, Anatomy, and Physiology, including equipment stewardship, safety procedures, and centralized ordering and inventory management. The Coordinator standardizes Canvas laboratory shells and supervises undergraduate lab workers.
Proficiency in Windows-based computer environments and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Strong oral and written communication skills; demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and time-management abilities.
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, work independently, and prioritize work with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students in a professional, courteous, and tactful manner.
Ability to safely lift, move, and handle laboratory materials and equipment.
Willingness to work occasional evening hours as required by laboratory scheduling.
Experience working in an educational or higher education setting.
Higher education teaching experience, particularly in laboratory courses.
Familiarity with institutional administrative systems such as Self-Service and Colleague.
