The Position: Biologist/Avian Bird Sweeper

Type: Seasonal, Part-Time ( This is a temporary position from June - September 2026)

Compensation: $30-$34/hour depending on experience

About Us:

Wright Tree Service, a business unit of Wright Canada Holdings, provides vegetation management, storm restoration, and work planning services to utility companies and their communities across North America.

• Plan and implement breeding bird and nest surveys across Manitoba

• Act as contractor liaison

• Prepare summaries of results (i.e. letter reports)

• Complete fieldwork in other disciplines as needed

• Work effectively in a team environment

Requirements:

• Degree in biology or Avian Bird Sweeper certification

• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Excel

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and a Driver's abstract

• Ability to work alone in remote areas across Manitoba
