Topics for this lecture and laboratory (or project) course include: inheritance and its chromosomal basis; gene interactions; sources and types of mutations and the relationship of mutation to genetic disease and evolution; genetic dissection of biological processes; genetic technologies and genomic approaches.

Minimum Qualifications: Successful candidates should be near completion of their Ph.D. Candidates should have a strong background and teaching experience in genetics.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous teaching experience in BIOC15H3 at UTSC is an asset.
Duties: Specific duties will include design and delivery of course materials including lectures and lab manuals; guided student discussions and presentations; ensuring the smooth running of labs; assignments and other assessments (such as exams); marking/grading; office hours and miscellaneous clerical tasks. Instructors must be on site during the laboratory sessions at UTSC. Please see the timetable for the lecture and lab schedules. https://ttb.utoronto.ca/

There are no hybrid options in the Department of Biological Sciences at UTSC for lectures, tutorials, laboratories or exams.
