Job Description
This Bioanalytical Scientist will execute analytical testing in a biologics laboratory supporting characterization of potency, biological activity, and process-related impurities. The role involves hands-on ELISA, cell-based assays, cell culture, qPCR, ddPCR, and basic biochemistry laboratory techniques within a GxP-regulated environment.
Responsibilities include executing established analytical methods, accurately documenting and reviewing laboratory data, maintaining laboratory notebooks and records in accordance with SOPs and GxP requirements, and working within established laboratory guidelines.
Position details:
- Hourly rate: $33.44–$42.47;
- Contract length: 12 months with possible extension;
- Location: New Brunswick, NJ;
- Work arrangement: 100% onsite;
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, business hours;
- Maximum hours: 40 hours per week;
- W-2 contract position;
- No C2C options;
- No visa sponsorship.
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another related science major;
- Bachelor's degree with 2–4 years of analytical experience, or an M.S. degree;
- Experience executing analytical assays in a biologics industry laboratory;
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with ELISA, cell-based assays, and cell culture;
- Experience with qPCR and ddPCR techniques;
- Experience executing methods to determine potency, measure biological activity, and/or assess process-related impurities;
- Experience executing laboratory work in a GxP-regulated environment;
- Large molecule experience;
- Basic biochemistry laboratory techniques and proficiency with diverse analytical techniques;
- Computer competency with emphasis on spreadsheet-based software;
- Ability to document and review laboratory data according to established SOPs and GxP requirements;
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail.
