Job Description

The Binding Operations Associate - Transportation plays a vital role in supporting the efficient functioning of an organization’s binding operations. The responsibilities include administrative tasks, coordination, and adherence to company policies.

What will your job entail?

Key Responsibilities

Binding Processing & Execution

  • Review and process bind requests to ensure timely and accurate handling
  • Validate application data against carrier system entries and update information as needed to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Bind coverage within carrier platforms in accordance with underwriting direction and carrier guidelines
  • Complete required filings and documentation as part of the binding process
  • Verify all binding documentation meets quality standards and compliance requirements

Stakeholder Support

  • Partner with underwriters, retail agents, and carrier representatives to facilitate binding activities
  • Respond to inquiries related to binding status, requirements, and discrepancies
  • Communicate clearly and professionally to resolve issues and prevent delays in binding
  • Escalate complex issues or discrepancies appropriately

Process Execution & Oversight

  • Manage assigned bind request workload to meet service level expectations and turnaround times
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, carrier guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify inconsistencies or data issues and take appropriate corrective actions
  • Support implementation of process improvements and standard operating procedures

Collaboration & Training

  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members on binding workflows and systems
  • Collaborate with leadership to enhance operational efficiency and standardization
  • Share knowledge and best practices across the team to improve overall performance

Qualifications

  • Experience in insurance operations, underwriting support, or a related role
  • Exposure to transportation insurance or the ability to quickly learn transportation-specific workflows
  • Experience working in a centralized processing or shared services environment is helpful but not required
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality control
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to manage escalated or complex tasks
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, and OneNote is helpful

The target salary range for this position is $54,250.00 - $60,000.00 annually.

The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
