Job Description

Bishop Waste, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety conscious Yard Laborer/Bin Technician to support yard operations, equipment upkeep, and facility maintenance at our site in Bishop, CA!

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, staying active, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

The schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm. Starting pay will be $24-$26 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform general yard and facility maintenance

  • Repair, wash, and restock carts (wheels, lids, axles, etc.)

  • Dispose of broken carts

  • Repair trash containers, roll‑off boxes, and toilet trailers (welding, painting, washing)

  • Pressure wash and manage storage of carts, containers, and roll‑offs

  • Pick up and sweep windblown trash throughout the yard

  • Complete various utility and manual labor tasks as needed

  • Follow all safety procedures when working around mechanical equipment

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience, preferably in laborer or maintenance roles

  • Ability to stand outdoors for an 8‑hour shift

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions

  • Comfortable with exposure to wet conditions, fumes, vibration, and moderate noise

  • Equipment operation experience is a plus

  • Must pass drug screen and pre‑employment background check

  • Valid driver's license required
