Job Description

We are looking for a Bin Auditor based at our branch in Christchurch.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Audit recycle bins for contamination
  • Removal of bins that have been contaminated numerous times around the City
  • Unloading waste collection vehicles on return to the depot or other nominated facility to make sure all products are placed in the correct bay/sorting area
  • Assisting in the cleaning and general maintenance of vehicles
  • Ensuring daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment are carried out

Qualifications

To be successful in this role

You will be physically fit and strong, and able to work in wet or sunny conditions.

Our ideal candidate will have

  • Class 1 driver’s licence and experience in operating vehicles in congested areas; e.g. confident with reversing and going into narrow streets even with trailers
  • Competent use of trailer
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of operating procedures
  • Self-motivated
  • Have a strong Health & Safety focus
