As a BIM Specialist you will be responsible for managing and coordinating meetings and supporting project teams through the application of BIM technologies. The BIM Specialist will leverage strong knowledge of AECindustry standards, tools and practices to support and improve workflow collaboration and efficiencies throughout project delivery.Full-time position at the Program Management Office in NYCResponsibilities: ď‚· Develop and deliver BIM training sessions for project staff, mentor junior team members, and promote BIM literacy ď‚· Ensure BIM models meet program requirements, QA/QC standards, ISO 19650 (or other relevant standards), and client-specific guidelinesď‚· Produce regular BIM progress reports, model audits, and documentation of lessons learned to inform continuous improvementď‚· Serve as the primary BIM point of contact for the Client, Contractors, Consultants and Stakeholdersď‚· Communicate BIM goals, progress, and issues to project leadershipď‚· Organize, manage, and lead BIM workshops, coordination meetings, and review sessionsď‚· Ability to delegate tasks to team members and lead BIM scope on projectsď‚· Oversee clash detection, model federation, and coordination meetingsď‚· Oversee BIM deliverables across design, construction, and handoverď‚· Develop and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and execution plansď‚· Support 4D (schedule), 5D (cost), and 6D (FM/asset) BIM processes where applicableď‚· Ensure that digital information can be used for facility management post-constructionď‚· Establish best practices for model creation, coordination, and data exchangeď‚· Facilitate collaboration by managing a Common Data Environment (CDE)ď‚· Utilizes specialist knowledge to conduct complex modeling, data management, analysis and/or optimization forarchitectural and engineering designsď‚· Act as a support resource for core design technologies
Qualificationsď‚· Strong knowledge of construction and design processesď‚· Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilitiesď‚· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingď‚· Advanced knowledge in (BIM) programs and applicable techniquesď‚· Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suiteď‚· Knowledge and experience in the disciplines within the AEC industryď‚· Experience with a variety of BIM software including Revit, Navisworks, BIM360 Design Suite, Assembleď‚· Experience with design software including Rhino, Vray, Lumion, Unity, Unreal, Twinmotion, AutoCAD, etcď‚· Familiarity with Autodesk Revit API & Dynamo, as well as Grasshopper for Rhino, are pluses. Requirements:ď‚· Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or a related discipline requiredď‚· 8+ years of experienceď‚· Progressive experience in BIM/3D Modeling, with a focus on Autodesk Software Suite & Servicesď‚· Expertise in Revit is a plus
