As a BIM Specialist, you will serve as a senior project BIM lead for complex or multi-discipline projects, providing advanced coordination, QA/QC, and mentorship. You will act as a high-level bridge between project teams and Regional BIM leadership, ensuring technical alignment and quality throughout the project lifecycle. This role demands a balance of advanced Revit/ACC expertise and strategic project management, ensuring that BIM workflows are not only efficient but also aligned with PAE’s high standards for quality and client care.

What You'll Do
Lead BIM delivery for complex and multi-discipline projects in partnership with Project Managers
Plan and coordinate BIM workflows, including model segmentation, links, and file management strategies
Provide advanced technical guidance to project delivery teams
Apply deep understanding of BIM 360 / ACC to manage model sharing, permissions, and exchanges
Define and communicate project BIM deliverable requirements to design and production teams
Lead and document BIM-related QA/QC processes, including proactive model health checks and drawing reviews, maintaining ongoing ownership of BIM quality throughout the project lifecycle
Train project teams on QMP processes and BIM-specific quality expectations
Develop and maintain project-specific BIM Execution Plans aligned with firmwide standards
Lead Revit/BIM kickoff meetings with clients and external partners; share best practices with the team
Demonstrate a high level of client care by anticipating BIM-related needs, communicating clearly, and representing PAE’s standards and professionalism in all interactions
Share lessons learned and contribute to BIM standards, tools, and process enhancements
Apply understanding of BIM Level of Development (LOD) to advise on scope, fees, and deliverable expectations
Mentor junior and mid-level BIM staff; support their technical and professional growth by guiding them in project-level decision-making and helping calibrate when issues should be resolved at the project level versus escalated (no direct reports)
Identify and remedy BIM-related risks, coordination challenges, and scope impacts in collaboration with Project Managers. Support and assist internal BIM development tasks, pilots, and rollouts of new digital delivery tools to advance firmwide digital delivery capabilities
Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
6+ years of AEC industry experience with advanced BIM responsibilities
Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Mechanical or Electrical Design (preferred)
Autodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD for Design and Drafting (preferred)
Willingness to travel to other PAE offices or project locations
Recognized technical resources and go-to BIM expert within project teams
Strong communication skills; comfortable leading coordination discussions and presenting BIM approaches
Deep understanding of construction industry workflows and engineering disciplines
Highly proficient in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 / ACC, and related tools
Leverage Microsoft 365 tools, including advanced Excel, SharePoint, Lists, Planner, Forms, Teams, OneDrive, and OneNote, to support multi-project coordination, workflow management, and BIM-related reporting
Strong attention to detail with the ability to see project-wide coordination impacts
Demonstrated ability to manage workload and priorities across multiple projects
Ability to think systemically across projects, identifying recurring BIM challenges and opportunities for improvement beyond a single project context
Ability to consistently balance technical rigor, delivery efficiency, and project risk on complex or fast-moving projects
Comfortable working in a hybrid digital environment that supports BIM production and coordination, aligned with Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) performance needs
What We Offer
Hiring Base Salary Range: $77,200 - $103,300 annual
This position is eligible for time and a half overtime pay
The base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered. At PAE, employees are eligible for annual compensation reviews based on performance and business needs. The above range represents PAE's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
