As a BIM Specialist, you will lead discipline BIM setup, maintenance, and delivery for small to mid-size projects, coordinating closely with project teams and providing technical guidance to Digital Design Technicians. You will serve as the primary BIM lead for your assigned projects, managing the model structure and cross-discipline coordination between internal and external partners. This role requires a strong technical foundation in Revit, Navisworks, and ACC, combined with an emerging leadership presence to ensure project deliverables are accurate, consistent, and delivered on schedule

What You'll Do
Lead project BIM deliverables in partnership with Project Managers and Project Coordinators
Serve as project BIM Lead for assigned projects, managing BIM execution, model structure, documentation, and cross-discipline coordination across internal and external teams
Use BIM 360 / ACC to manage model exchange and coordination with internal and external partners
Lead BIM quality control of engineering drawings for consistency, accuracy, and legibility, maintaining accountability throughout the project lifecycle
Execute the Quality Management Plan (QMP) activities related to BIM on assigned projects and proactively address model health and coordination issues prior to formal reviews
Prepare and maintain project-specific BIM Execution Plans based on firmwide frameworks
Lead setup and maintenance of AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks models for your projects
Facilitate discipline-specific BIM/Revit kickoff meetings and expectations with clients or design partners as needed
Contribute to BIM process improvements, standards development, and internal best-practice documentation
Build working knowledge of BIM Level of Development (LOD) and how it affects project scope and fees
Mentor junior staff through day-to-day coaching (no formal people-management responsibilities)
Provide high-quality client service and responsive communication related to BIM deliverables
Identify and remedy BIM-related risks, coordination challenges, and scope impacts in collaboration with Project Managers
Lead or coordinate drawing review workflows using Bluebeam Revu or similar markup tools, ensuring clear resolution of comments and alignment with BIM deliverables
Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
4+ years of AEC industry experience with significant BIM production/coordination
Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Mechanical or Electrical Design (preferred)
Autodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD for Design and Drafting (preferred)
Willingness to travel to regional offices or project sites as needed
Strong team collaborator with an emerging leadership presence
Reliable, flexible, and able to maintain a positive attitude under project pressure
Solid understanding of construction and engineering disciplines, especially MEP coordination
Advanced skills in Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam; confident working within BIM 360/ACC
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including meetings and small presentations
Demonstrate advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, OneNote), and use Excel, SharePoint, or Lists to support project coordination, tracking, and reporting
Skilled at estimating task durations and coordinating work with project schedules
Comfortable working in a hybrid digital environment that supports BIM production and coordination, aligned with Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) performance needs
What We Offer
Hiring Base Salary Range: $65,100-$87,100 annual
This position is eligible for time and a half overtime pay
The base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered. At PAE, employees are eligible for annual compensation reviews based on performance and business needs. The above range represents PAE's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
