BIM project Coordinator

BIM Project Coordinator (Key Responsibilities and Skills)

Coordinate BIM project

  • -Determine the project BIM geo-reference point(s), and assures all technical discipline models are properly referenced
  • -The coordination of equipment deployment including but not limited to conveyors, CCTV, power supply connection, data point connection, fire services interfacing etc.
  • -Coordinate with suppliers to receive compatible 3D Model
  • -Coordinate BIM file exchange and archiving of milestone submittals
  • -Identify changes of incoming models from external parties
  • -Attend BIM progress / Coordination meetings
  • -Coordinate the use of a shared file server / CDE
  • -Vanderlande customer facing spokesperson for BIM topics during sales phase/contract negotiations (Supporting the Sales Engineer)
  • -Having knowledge of Conveyor system will be privileged.
  • Must know industrial way of working and should be familiar with industrial automation.

Checking data and BIM data

-Ensuring all quality of all BIM related document with proper review

-Contribute to keep BEP and EIR up to date

-Assure proper BIM derived 2d information for paper printing as required and conforms CAD standards

-Assure information is provided at milestone submittals and for conctractor

-Responsible for the Revit project Template and feedback to the business Template

-IFC knowledge / Defining the data exchange format (DWG, IFC)

-Carry out Clash Detection and assist engineers

-Perform Clash Coordination

-Perform Model Coordination

-Support in the creating of clash reports and communication of clashes.

Managing and guiding BIM colleagues

-Is the Revit expert and project consultant for Layout Engineers / BIM modellers.

Building the BIM model together

-Upload and download BIM Documents

-Assemble composite design model for coordination meetings

-Provide design deliverables in accordance with the format specified (PXP)

-Maintain BIM models during project Installation / As Built, before team has left the project. Deliver Pointcloud in some cases.

Set up tools, accounts, content and permissions for team

-Ensuring interoperability of different software used in the project implementation

-Coordinate team file management

-Coordinate the setup of shared file server

-Assemble composite design model for coordination meetings

-Interface with Design Team BIM and IT Managers to ensure software is installed and operating properly

-Determine the project BIM geo-reference point(s), and assures all technical discipline models are properly referenced.
