BIM Modeller

Skills & Qualifications

  • Draughting / Modelling Qualification from a recognised institution (Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related field).
  • Strong proficiency in BIM software, including Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
  • Experience in 3D modelling, drafting, and detailing for construction projects.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 principles, BEP requirements, and data exchange formats (IFC, COBie).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow project standards.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate 3D models based on design and construction requirements.
  • Ensure models align with BIM Execution Plan (BEP), project standards, and ISO 19650 guidelines.
  • Produce detailed drawings and extractions from BIM models, including plans, sections, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to incorporate design changes and ensure model consistency.
  • Assist in clash detection and coordination using Navisworks, Solibri, or other model-checking tools.
  • Manage and update model components, families, and parametric elements in Revit or other BIM software.
  • Support model-based quantity take-offs and construction sequencing when required.
  • Ensure data accuracy and proper file management within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
  • Work closely with BIM Coordinators to resolve modelling issues and maintain quality standards.
