YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The BIM Modeler III is responsible forproviding modeling efforts for both project delivery and standards. This is a leader of the production team that will create most of the drawings for a projectandtypicallyfunctionsasaModelManager.Willneedtoefficientlytakepartinandsupervise modeling and documenting the project.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • WorkwithFamilyDevelopmentTeamfortherevisedstandardsorforaproject’sneeds.

  • Createprojectspecificfamiliesforprojectstheyareleading.

  • Leadandsupervisemodelinganddocumentinga project.

  • Scheduleandassignworktomeetprojectdeliverabledates.

  • Cleanandpurgebackgrounddrawings/modelsforuseinREImodel.

  • CreateRosendinRevitmodelusingbackgroundsfromothertrades.

  • WorkwithprojectCoordinatorsand Detailers.

  • Supervisethelayoutandinputofmarked‐updrawingsintoRevitinaccordancewithREI Standards.

  • Back‐checkothers’workforaccuracybeforepassing itontotheproject team.

  • Acknowledgementofany/allREIconfidentiallyand/ornon-Disclosurerequirementspursuanttothis position. The protection of Proprietary or Company Intellectual Property.

  • Thedutiesandresponsibilitiesareintendedtodescribethegeneralnatureandscopeofworkbeing performed by this position.This is not acomplete listing and other duties will beassigned basedon the position’s role within the business unit.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

  • AssociatedegreeinComputerizedDraftingorrelateddiscipline

  • Minimum5years’totalexperiencewithknowledgeofelectricalsymbolsandelectricaldrafting conventions and standards

  • Canbeacombinationofeducation,training,andrelevant experience

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • AdvancedworkingknowledgeofthemostcurrentmodelingapplicationssoftwareinusebyREI, including being able to create and manipulate Revit families, views, browser structure, sheets, schedules, filters, and similar Revit functions

  • Giveverbalandgeneralwrittendirectionwellandturnthatdirectionintoappropriate, working design documents

  • CompleteunderstandingofREIBIMprocessesandproceduresincludingworkflow processes

  • Skillsobtainedbeyondthe buildingelementswouldbecreatingsimpleparametric families, utilizing shared parameters, creating schedules, and creating complex geometry

  • FluencyinthecurrentversionofRevitsoftwareemployedbytheDepartment

  • Fluencyinreading2Dplans,electronicallyorhardcopy

  • Fluencyinthe2D and3Dspace

  • FluencyinAutodeskNavisWorks,AutodeskDesignReview

  • Advancedknowledgeof3Dlayoutanddesign

  • Receiveandtransmitdocumentsonbehalfofthedesignteam,eitherviapostingto website or the Internet or via hard copy

  • Fluencywithallplotters,printersandreproductionsystemsusedinhouseoronthejobsite

  • Fluencyforimportingdocuments,suchasspreadsheets,photos,images,andwordprocessingfiles into Revit projects

  • Type,proofread,spellcheckworkwithoutsupervision

  • CreateRevitworksetsandunderstandingofRevitworksharing process

  • Understandingof3Dcoordinationwithothertrades

  • SkillsobtainedbeyondthebuildingelementswouldbesettingupRevitmodels,leading model teams in modeling, annotating, project scheduling, assigning workload and meeting deadlines

  • ProficientinusingacomputerandMicrosoftOffice(Outlook,Word,Excel,etc.);Oraclepreferred

  • Prioritizeandmanagemultipletasks,changingprioritiesasnecessary

  • Workunderpressureandadapttochangingrequirementswithapositiveattitude

  • Oralandwrittencommunicationskillsasrequiredforthe position

  • Self-motivated,proactiveandaneffectiveteam player

  • Interacteffectivelyandprofessionallywithalllevelsofemployees,bothmanagementand staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

TRAVEL:

  • Upto20%

WORKINGCONDITIONS:

  • Generalworkenvironment-sittingforextended periods, standing,walking,typing,carrying,pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.

  • Noiselevelistypically lowtomedium;it canbeloudonajob site.

  • Occasionalliftingofupto30lbs.
