AECOM Enterprise Capabilities is currently recruiting for a BIM Manager – Digital (Water Plants) in Bogotá, Colombia, to support complex international water infrastructure projects. This position is responsible for leading the implementation of BIM and Information Management strategies across Water Plant projects, including the establishment and administration of Common Data Environments (CDE), coordination of BIM execution plans and digital workflows, and oversight of smart content, templates, and digital collaboration tools. The role will work closely with both local and global teams to support project delivery, quality assurance, multidisciplinary coordination, and the adoption of best practices in digital project execution.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • BIM Implementation Strategy – develop BIM Implementation strategy & deliver complex international projects.
  • CDE Management – establish & administer the CDE & support efficient management of multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Project Management – coordinate BIM execution & project delivery with project leadership.
  • BIM Execution – create & maintain the project’s industry framework docs: BEP, MIDP, MPDT, appendices etc.
  • Technical Support – establish data-integrated workflows for Water Plant projects & provide support, guidance & training to project teams.
  • Digital Technology & Content Management – oversee the production of smart object content, templates & libraries in the context of the project, deploy the use of AECOM’s content management system (Autodesk Content Catalogue/UNIFI) onto projects and manage the best practice use of digital technology for collaboration, coordination & delivery.
  • Quality – establish & administer the digital quality assurance control procedures.
  • Collaboration – be an ambassador for a global group working with AECOM region project teams, Enterprise Capabilities office disciplines & other Enterprise Capabilities Digital departments.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural or related discipline with at least + 6 years of industry experience in the BIM and Digital Delivery field. Must have previous formal multidiscipline BIM Manager/Coordinator role experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 19650 framework and related BIM standards
  • Experience delivering BIM data from BIM software such as any of the following: Autodesk Plant 3D, Bentley OpenPlant, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Civil3D, Autodesk Advanced Steel
  • Experience working and administering a Common Data Environment such as Autodesk Construction Cloud and/or Bentley ProjectWise
  • Experience executing multi-discipline coordination, clash detection and issue management and an advanced user of any of the following: Autodesk Navisworks, Revizto, ACC Model Coordination.
  • Strong background in technical production of 3D and 2D model deliverables for Water Plant projects.
  • Strong understanding of wastewater equipment and water treatment plant design process, working knowledge of specification driven process and piping design methodology
  • Knowledge and understanding of process and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Communication - Fluent in English (oral and written), a team player and mentor, with exceptional interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • + 10 years of industry experience in the BIM and Digital Delivery field. Must have previous formal multidiscipline BIM Manager/Coordinator role experience.
  • Experience managing and delivering project information on multidisciplinary Water projects (Specifically Water Plants) with geographically dispersed teams.
  • International experience working with global project teams. Experience working on projects in any of the following: Australia, USA, Canada, UK, and Ireland, Middle East and/or Asia will be considered favourable.
  • Visual programming – preferred, working knowledge of Dynamo or Grasshopper
  • Demonstratable portfolio of BIM for Water Plant projects.
