Join Us in Shaping the Future of Digital Construction and Energy Infrastructure
Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to provide site-based leadership and coordination on a large, multidisciplinary energy project in North County Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a BIM professional with experience in industrial, infrastructure, energy or power projects to play a key role in the successful delivery of a major construction programme.
Working closely with the client, design team, contractors, specialist subcontractors and site teams, you will help ensure that BIM processes are effectively implemented and that project information is coordinated, accurate, controlled and aligned with design, programme, quality and client requirements.
The BIM Manager will provide site-based BIM leadership, coordination and information-management support throughout the construction phase of a large energy project. The role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day implementation of the project BIM Execution Plan and associated information-management procedures over an anticipated 12–18-month period.
Working across a complex multidisciplinary project environment, the BIM Manager will coordinate BIM activities between the client, design team, main contractor, specialist subcontractors and site personnel. The role will involve reviewing federated models, managing clash detection and design coordination, and supporting the integration of BIM with construction sequencing, programme, quality assurance, commissioning, handover and asset-information requirements.
The BIM Manager will monitor the production, review, approval and updating of models, drawings, schedules and other digital project information. They will chair or support BIM coordination meetings, track the resolution of clashes, RFIs, design changes and interface issues, and ensure that contractor and subcontractor deliverables comply with project standards, naming conventions, information requirements and agreed workflows.
The role will also include maintaining accurate BIM registers, issue records, model-review records and information-delivery trackers; supporting the preparation and review of as-built information and the project information model; providing guidance to project personnel in the effective use of BIM systems and processes; and identifying and escalating information gaps, coordination issues, delays and project risks.
As BIM Manager, you will make a significant contribution to the successful delivery of a major energy project by ensuring that digital information is coordinated, controlled and effectively used throughout construction. Your work will help improve collaboration between the client, designers, contractors and specialist subcontractors, reduce design and interface risks, support efficient construction planning and sequencing, and ensure that project information is delivered accurately and on time. By promoting consistent BIM standards and collaborative working practices, you will support quality assurance, progress monitoring, commissioning, handover and the production of reliable as-built and asset information. Your proactive approach to coordination, issue resolution and stakeholder engagement will help the project team make informed decisions and deliver the project safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
Ability to lead the day-to-day implementation of the project BIM Execution Plan, information-management procedures and agreed digital delivery standards across a large, multidisciplinary construction project.
Strong capability in reviewing federated models, coordinating design information, managing clash detection and supporting the resolution of technical interfaces, RFIs, design changes and construction-related issues.
Ability to monitor the production, review, approval and updating of models, drawings, schedules and other project information while maintaining accurate BIM registers, issue records and information-delivery trackers.
Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, designers, contractors, specialist subcontractors, site teams and project representatives across a complex delivery environment.
Understanding of how BIM supports construction planning, sequencing, progress monitoring, quality assurance, commissioning, handover and asset-information management, with the ability to identify and escalate risks, information gaps and delays.
This is a predominantly site-based role on a large energy project in North County Dublin. The successful candidate will work closely with the client, design team, contractors, specialist subcontractors and site personnel within an active construction environment.
The role will involve regular attendance on site throughout the anticipated 12–18-month project period. Working arrangements will be aligned with the project programme, construction activities and client requirements. Occasional attendance at Tetra Tech offices, design-team meetings, supplier locations or other project-related locations may be required.
Due to the site-based nature of the position, regular remote or hybrid working is not expected. However, limited flexibility may be available for specific administrative, coordination or reporting activities, subject to project requirements. The role requires a strong commitment to professional standards, effective communication, information security, health and safety awareness and collaborative working.
