Job Description

We are looking for a BIM Engineer with hands-on experience in Trimble's construction software suite to join our team. You will create and manage 3D models, produce construction documentation, and coordinate project data across teams using Trimble Connect.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D structural models using Tekla Structures
• Develop conceptual and design models in Trimble SketchUp
• Produce shop drawings, general arrangement drawings, and material lists from the models
• Manage project collaboration, file sharing, model reviews, and issue tracking through Trimble Connect
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams to resolve clashes and design conflicts
• Ensure models follow project standards, BIM execution plans, and quality requirements
• Update models and drawings based on design changes and client feedback
• Maintain accurate documentation and version control of project files

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or a related field
• 2-3 years of practical experience in BIM modeling or detailing
• Hands-on experience with Tekla Structures, SketchUp, and Trimble Connect
• Understanding of BIM workflows, model coordination, and clash detection
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
• Good attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
• Fluent English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with steel or concrete detailing
• Knowledge of IFC and other BIM exchange formats
• Familiarity with other tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks
• Experience with the Tekla Open API or SketchUp extensions (a plus, not a requirement)
