Responsibilities within BIM Design

Working within the BIM Design team under the FD PM Building Installations area, you play a pivotal role in supporting Facility Design. This involves creating detailed 3D models and 2D designs that encompass architecture, structure, HVAC and building utilities, as well as building and process electrical systems.

How you might spend your days (Main Roles & Responsibilities)

As BIM Engineer, you’ll be working with an innovative, multi-disciplinary team where you’ll be:

• Responsible for analysing your inputs & delivering BIM related tasks for the project.
• Responsible for handling your job independently with occasional guidance & oversight by the Seniors.
• Taking responsibility and ownership of the work before sharing it with the seniors for review
• Your work requires broad theoretical knowledge and understanding of Engineering discipline design concepts

The miles you’ve walked (Education and Work Experience)

In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:

• Have a degree in Structure engineering or equivalent.
• You need to have a minimum of 5 years of experience handling BIM Engineer/Designer role
• Have a good understanding of CDE and BEP
• Have a good hands-on experience of working in work-sharing environment with tools like Revit, Navisworks & Dalux.
• Robot Structure will be an advantage
• Ensure disciplinary consistency, quality, and compliance
• Experience of handling GFC & As-built tasks
• Structural and weight calculation with Material take out ability
• STAAD pro, MAT 3D, Foundation 3D, SAFE & ETABS is an advantage
• Structural design standards ACI, EURO, AISC is an advantage
• Experience in Design and analysis of different Industry civil structures as per Indian Codes will be an advantage. Knowledge of US /EU codes will be an advantage
• Experience with International Project will be an added advantage.
• You’re fluent in English and comfortable presenting your work to diverse audiences.
