A BIM Engineer in HVDC and substation projects is responsible for developing and coordinating detailed 2D & 3D models of electrical infrastructure, including converter stations, control buildings, cable routing, Erection Key Diagrams , DSLP and equipment layouts. The role involves integrating inputs from electrical, civil, and mechanical disciplines to ensure accurate design representation, performing clash detection, and supporting engineering optimization. BIM Engineer also generates drawings, material quantities, and visualizations while ensuring compliance with project specifications, IEC standards, and client requirements. This role is critical in enhancing design coordination, reducing site rework, and improving overall project execution efficiency.

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical /Mechanical /Civil Engineering or equivalent, from an accredited college or university with a minimum 8 + years of experience on Substation project engineering.
Knowledge of Autodesk CAD tools Revit, BIM360, AutoCAD construction cloud, and Navisworks
