UGL’s Engineering / Digital Solutions team supports the delivery of complex infrastructure and engineering projects through practical, high-quality digital engineering solutions. We bring together technical expertise, collaborative project delivery and digital innovation to help improve the way projects are designed, coordinated and delivered.
We are seeking a BIM Modeller Coordinator – Engineering to join our Sydney-based team in a permanent position. This role will support detailed design, BIM coordination, model quality and digital engineering workflows across project lifecycles.

About the role
As BIM Modeller Coordinator – Engineering, you will be responsible for detailed engineering design support, creation of 3D models and coordination of digital models across project lifecycles. The role focuses on specific discipline systems, interdisciplinary coordination, model quality, data management and practical support for tender and project delivery teams.
You will work with BIM / Digital Engineering leads, design teams, engineers and project stakeholders to support consistent model setup, digital deliverables, CDE workflows, clash resolution and compliance with relevant standards, including ISO19650 and project digital engineering requirements.
Key responsibilities
  • Develop accurate and detailed 3D models for MEI, utilities electrical or civil / structural systems, including model setup and metadata.
  • Support BIM workflows, digital engineering platforms and project CDE processes for tenders and live projects.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering and construction teams to ensure models align with design intent and construction methodology.
  • Conduct model reviews, audits and validation checks to identify errors, clashes or discrepancies across disciplines.
  • Assist with CAD Management Plans, BIM Execution Plans and digital engineering standards, templates and workflows.
  • Prepare engineering documentation and maintain drafting records, version control and quality documentation across the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support, guidance and input during project meetings and coordination activities.

About you
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in an aligned discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience in construction, major projects, transport or infrastructure environments.
  • 5+ years’ experience in detailed modelling, drafting, coordination and documentation.
  • Strong technical understanding of MEI, utilities electrical or civil / structural systems.
  • Advanced capability using 2D and 3D authoring tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and Revizto.
  • Knowledge of BIM standards, digital engineering processes and ISO19650 requirements.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, teamwork and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
