Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a BIM Co-ordinator (Structures) based in India.
This role sits at the intersection of BIM, information management, engineering coordination, and construction delivery. You will help govern digital project information across complex multidisciplinary construction programs, with a strong focus on LOD 400 and LOD 500 deliverables. You will coordinate contractors, vendors, consultants, clients, and site teams to ensure models are accurate, buildable, coordinated, and ready for handover. The position combines technical BIM expertise with strong governance, quality assurance, and stakeholder management. You will work extensively with Common Data Environments and model coordination platforms while supporting remote and globally distributed project teams. Your work will directly contribute to reducing clashes, improving construction quality, and enabling reliable digital handover. This is an opportunity to play a key role in advancing digital delivery across the built environment.
Accountabilities
- Administer and oversee Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms, including Autodesk Construction Cloud, while maintaining project workspaces, folder structures, workflows, issues, transmittals, and information standards.
- Establish and monitor compliance with project BIM Execution Plan requirements for construction and as-built phases, including acceptance criteria for LOD 400 and LOD 500 deliverables.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary models through regular federations and clash detection, using tools such as Navisworks Manage to identify, track, and resolve coordination issues.
- Review contractor shop models, drawings, fabrication models, and vendor data for quality, compliance, buildability, and information completeness.
- Support BIM coordination meetings with site teams, document actions, track resolutions, and maintain clear visibility of outstanding issues and risks.
- Onboard specialist vendors and contractors into digital workflows and coordinate fabrication models, point-cloud data, and other project information.
- Manage as-built capture and verification activities and validate LOD 500 deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and handover readiness.
- Compile and manage handover information through the CDE, ensuring project data is structured and delivered in accordance with agreed requirements.
- Conduct model and information audits, identify non-conformances, and support corrective actions across project teams.
- Provide training and guidance to site engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders on ISO 19650 principles, BIM workflows, information management, and CDE processes.
- Develop and maintain information management documentation, including BEP documentation, federation strategies, Level of Information Need, responsibility matrices, and MIDP/TIDP-related materials.
- Collaborate across engineering, construction, project management, vendors, consultants, and client teams to promote consistent BIM standards and effective multidisciplinary coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, MEP Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- 10–15 years of total experience in Buildings BIM, including at least 5 years of construction-stage coordination experience in GCC projects and a minimum of 2 years working in the Middle East region.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting digital delivery and information management on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Proven experience delivering LOD 400 and LOD 500 BIM deliverables and a strong understanding of LOD 300–500 industry standards.
- Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit across Architecture, Structure, and MEP, together with strong expertise in Navisworks Manage and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Strong understanding of ISO 19650, information management, CDE administration, BIM governance, and construction-stage digital delivery.
- Demonstrated expertise in model federation, clash detection, issue management, model walkthroughs, and multidisciplinary design coordination using platforms such as Navisworks, BIM Track, or Revizto.
- Experience with CDE and EDMS platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Aconex, ASITE, or ProjectWise.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, spatial coordination, construction quality processes, and collaboration between multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to develop and maintain technical information management documentation, including pre- and post-BEP documentation, federation strategies, Level of Information Need, responsibility matrices, MIDP, and TIDP.
- Good knowledge of BIM-related data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, coordination, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic language exposure is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, PMCs, vendors, clients, and site-based teams while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Desirable experience with Dynamo, IFC/BCF workflows, model health auditing, laser-scan-to-BIM processes, COBie, asset data structuring, and 4D/5D applications.
- Contractor-side experience is advantageous, particularly experience managing digital delivery from design through construction and final handover.
- Autodesk Certified Professional certification in Revit is preferred, while a relevant Information Management certification is desirable.
