At GenesisCare, every role contributes to better outcomes for patients. As a Billing Specialist, you'll support the accurate and efficient delivery of billing and revenue cycle activities across our Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology and Theranostics services.

Working closely with Patient Services teams, you'll help ensure a seamless experience for patients and stakeholders while managing invoicing, payments, bank reconciliations, payment plans and debt management activities.

This is a part-time opportunity, working 4 days per week, Monday to Friday, with the flexibility of a fully remote working arrangement.

More Specifically you will:

  • Manage patient revenue cycle activities across multiple Oncology services
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure billing accuracy and compliance
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
  • Manage accounts receivable activities, including the follow up of outstanding accounts
  • Generate and process invoices, payments and payment plans accurately and efficiently
  • Support debt collection activities in line with company policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Patient Services teams and internal stakeholders to resolve billing queries
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across billing and revenue cycle processes

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Previous experience in medical billing, healthcare administration, accounts receivable or revenue cycle management
  • Demonstrated experience delivering exceptional customer service, ideally within a healthcare environment
  • Medical accounts processing experience, including knowledge of Medicare, DVA and private health fund billing requirements
  • Experience using clinical administration systems such as Mosaiq and PBRC, together with strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and a commitment to delivering high quality outcomes
