We are looking for a Billing Solutions Architect to join our team.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert in Salesforce CPQ, Zuora Billing System, Oracle BRM, or BillingPlatform (BP) implementations, with a strong understanding of end-to-end billing processes, configuration, and integrations. This individual must have a demonstrated ability to architect and deliver billing solutions that meet complex business and technical requirements. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a strong focus on customer success are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Support:
Participate in pre-sales discovery calls, solution scoping, and estimation for implementations involving Salesforce CPQ, Zuora Billing System, Oracle BRM, or BillingPlatform (BP).
Client Requirements Analysis:
Lead client workshops to gather, analyze, and document billing-related requirements across Salesforce CPQ, Zuora Billing System, Oracle BRM, or BillingPlatform (BP).
Solution Design:
Design scalable and maintainable billing solutions, including workflows, product catalog setup, rating, mediation, and invoicing logic within Salesforce CPQ, Zuora Billing System, Oracle BRM, or BillingPlatform (BP).
Configuration Oversight:
Define and oversee configuration of modules such as usage-based billing, account hierarchies, subscription lifecycle, pricing models, and taxation rules within Salesforce CPQ, Zuora Billing System, Oracle BRM, or BillingPlatform (BP).
Integration Planning:
Architect integrations with external systems such as Salesforce CRM, ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle), payment gateways, and tax engines using APIs and middleware supported by Salesforce CPQ, Zuora Billing System, Oracle BRM, or BillingPlatform (BP).
DevOps and CI/CD:
Guide development teams on deploying billing configurations using DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce CPQ, Zuora Billing System, Oracle BRM, or BillingPlatform (BP).
Testing Support:
Support test case design and validation across SIT/UAT cycles, ensuring end-to-end functionality of billing workflows.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Act as the technical point of contact for billing platform–related topics with internal stakeholders, development teams, and client IT/business teams.
Change Management:
Manage scope changes, enhancements, and release planning within the billing platform implementation lifecycle.
Documentation & Enablement:
Create and maintain platform-specific documentation, including configuration guides, integration specifications, and solution blueprints. Conduct knowledge transfer to client teams post-deployment.
Time Zone Flexibility:
Ability to work in the EST time zone and coordinate with globally distributed teams.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with Salesforce CPQ, Zuora Billing System, Oracle BRM, or BillingPlatform (BP), with at least 2 full-cycle implementations in a Delivery or Solution Architect role.
Strong functional understanding of telecom, SaaS, or utility industry billing use cases and how they map to modern billing platforms’ data models and process engines.
Experience conducting end-to-end Quote-to-Cash workshops, finalizing business requirements, and converting them into detailed platform configurations, integrations, and customizations.
Deep knowledge of product catalog design, usage processing, rating logic, and invoice templating across billing platforms.
Knowledge of revenue recognition concepts and implementation approaches.
Experience implementing customer/self-service portals within billing platforms.
In-depth experience handling customer data migration, including APIs and bulk loaders.
Proven experience integrating billing platforms with CRMs (e.g., Salesforce), ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle), tax engines (e.g., Avalara), and payment processors (e.g., Stripe, Adyen).
Ability to lead technical discussions with client architects and translate business requirements into platform configurations.
Experience with platform scripting, custom fields, expressions, and workflow orchestration where applicable.
Solid understanding of platform APIs, custom data objects, and scheduled job configurations.
Experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and deployment best practices for enterprise billing platforms.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills focused on solution clarity and business value.
Strong project leadership skills with a focus on delivering billing solutions on time and within scope.
