We’re looking for an experienced Billing Specialist. This has an essential role in the Finance organization. The Billing Specialist is primarily responsible for billing new contracts, renewals and contract amendments accurately and timely. The Billing Specialist will also have to work cross functionally with Sales, Renewals, Sales Ops and different levels on the finance team to ensure a timely month end close.

Examples of duties

  • Generate and process customer invoices, credits and adjusting invoices to co-term subscriptions
  • Review new and existing contracts to determine invoicing needs as well as ensuring contracts meet company policy
  • Work independently with sales personnel, including management, to discuss inconsistencies and other issues with new deals
  • Will work closely with Renewals Team on all renewal invoicing, churns, as well with unwind and rebill inquiries.
  • Assist internal and external customers regarding billing inquiries timely and accurately within Salesforce (cases), and Google Chat
  • Assist with month-end/year-end closing, as well as audits and other ad-hoc accounting projects as needed
  • Work with the billing manager and revenue accounting manager to identify risks and establish better internal processes.

What You Have

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a SaaS Billing role (Strongly preferred)
  • Experience managing a large book of business with high volume of billables.
  • Preferred working knowledge of;
  • Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Salesforce (SF Billing is a plus),NetSuite, Gmail, Adobe, Avalara
  • General understanding of Accounts Receivable procedures
  • Strong background with online software (SaaS) products and services.
