Job Description

We are seeking a Billing Product Operations Manager to lead operational excellence across our financial ecosystem.

In this role, you will act as the "Product Manager" of our internal billing infrastructure - bridging Product, R&D, Finance, and Customer Success to ensure seamless billing processes, high payment acceptance rates, and friction-free customer transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of our internal billing infrastructure and payment gateways.
  • Lead the Payment Optimization product roadmap - spanning fraud prevention, routing, and acquirer performance.
  • Handle complex billing escalations from Sales and Support regarding invoicing, usage discrepancies, and custom enterprise agreements.
  • Partner with Product and R&D to relay requirements for new billing features, pricing models, and self-service payment flows.
  • Oversee integrations with global Payment Service Providers (e.g., Stripe, BlueSnap, PayPal).
  • Oversee systems and processes supporting dispute handling, fraud investigation, and performance monitoring.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve billing issues.
  • Use SQL and Excel to query databases, analyze transaction failures, reconcile discrepancies, and drive data-based decisions.
  • Partner with acquirers, PSPs, and fraud vendors to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Define and track KPIs across success rates, fraud losses, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in Product Operations, Billing Operations, or Payments within a B2B SaaS or tech company.
  • Deep understanding of payment lifecycle, routing logic, acquirer performance management, and billing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the payments ecosystem (PSPs, Acquirers, Issuers, Gateways).
  • Technical proficiency with APIs, webhooks, 3DS flows, and ability to interpret technical documentation.
  • Advanced SQL and Excel skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
