Job Description

SCL Nishimura & Asahi comprises over 100 lawyers and professional staff providing top-quality legal and business advisory services.

We are seeking a billing officer to support our firm.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process complex, high-volume invoices, including electronic billing and system upload.
  • Work with partners and associates to review pre-bills and to edit and finalize invoices.
  • Translate and proofread documents from Thai into English.
  • Generate account statements on a timely basis to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies.
  • Ensure billing adheres to client guidelines, procedures, firm policies, and mandated formats.
  • Review weekly work-in-progress reports in order to follow up on pending invoices to be issued or notified of non-chargeable costs. Ensure all chargeable costs have been invoiced.
  • Monitor payment statuses and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Coordinate between departments.
  • Assist with monthly/yearly financial reporting and reconciliation.
  • Perform any other ad hoc tasks assigned by supervisors, partners, and lawyers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software. Experience in 3E is an advantage.
  • Minimum two years of experience in billing, accounting, or as a junior accountant.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Thai and English.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of deadline-intensive work.
  • High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills.
  • Willingness to learn and use new research materials and practice tools.
