Job Description

Summary

The Billing Clerk is responsible for ensuring vehicle deals are accurate, complete, and properly processed through the accounting department. This role reviews deal paperwork, processes transactions, prepares title and registration documents, follows up on DMV requirements, and maintains clean and accurate accounting schedules. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and audit vehicle deals for accuracy, completeness, and missing documentation.
  • Process completed deals into the accounting system accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare title and registration paperwork and submit required DMV/state documentation.
  • Follow up with the DMV and customers to resolve title and registration issues and track outstanding items.
  • Review and maintain accounting schedules, research outstanding balances, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify missing or incorrect information and work with dealership teams to obtain necessary documentation.
  • Provide administrative and accounting support while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and timely processing.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and dealership accounting processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to audit and verify paperwork for accuracy.
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies.
  • Proficient computer and data-entry skills with the ability to learn dealership software and systems (CDK).
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills when working with customers, DMV representatives, and dealership personnel.
  • Positive, dependable team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.

Additional Information

Compensation:

  • $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Full Time
  • Monday through Friday availability
