
Job Summary: The Billing Associate is responsible for the compilation of data, calculation of fees and charges, and the creation of detailed invoices for billing purposes.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform bookkeeping tasks, including accurately posting data and maintaining records of invoices and supporting documents
Must verify accuracy of billing data, revise any errors, and prepare itemized bills or invoices
Generate and review purchase orders, scale tickets, charge slips, manifests, billing documents, shipping labels, credit memorandums, and credit forms
Resolve discrepancies in accounting records and proactively contact customers to obtain, verify, and update account information
Compute costs and calculate rates, credit terms, charges, or rates for goods or services to complete accurate billing documents, considering multiple companies
Posting data and keeping other relevant records
Creates itemized statements, bills, invoices, and other necessary billing documents.
Generates shipping labels and billing documents
Performs other related duties as assigned
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s license in state of residency with acceptable driving record
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and submit to the company random drug and alcohol program
Proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel, Google Workspace, and 10 key
Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to solve problems as they arise
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Preferred:
Entry level experience in a clerical or office administration role

Work Environment: The duties of this job are performed primarily in an office environment and occasionally, in a commercial motor vehicle terminal operations environment thereby experiencing some minor to moderate level of noise due to office/CMV equipment. Exposure to various climate conditions, fumes, dust, odors, oil/grease, and gasses.
