This QA team is responsible of the Quality Assurance of the Rakuten Ichiba service. You can be involved in leading e-commerce services, and develop your skills in a global environment.

Therefore, we are looking for a very talented and enthusiastic Test Automation Engineer, capable of building up our test automation architecture so we can assure the reliability and scalability of our services.
Position Details
- Work closely with test engineers and development teams to define and improve the test automation architecture
- Test automation architecture design/operation
- Design and operate original test automation framework
- Design and operate CI/CD environment
- Assign and review tasks to team members (including outsourced members)
- Design test automation scripts for UI, API, and web applications
- Implementation of test automation scripts
- Operation of test automation tools
- Verification and Analysis of test results
- Test result reporting
Work Environment
Our QA team, formed by 5 to 10 members, has a global working environment were both English and Japanese are used. The QA knowledge of the team is constantly improved through Overseas Conferences and weekly certification study sessions like ISTQB, and we maintain a healthy work-life balance (average overtime of 20-30 hours monthly, depending of the team). Also, we conduct regular 1on1 meetings to create a safe, comfortable working environment.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Over 3 years of experience in test automation development / implementation
- Any language is fine, but having experience of using some testing middleware or framework is required (ex; Junit / Test::Unit / unittest / Selenium / Cypress)
- Backend knowledge + application testing experience
- Experience in developing / designing / implementing UI & API tests
- Can read Japanese documents and communicate in Japanese
Desired Qualifications:
- Test planning / design / implementation experience
- Internet Service Industry knowledge and experience
- ISTQB foundation level knowledge
- e-Commerce domain knowledge
- Service-Oriented

Additional information on Qualification
TOEIC Score 800 or above(or similar level of English ability or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country)
In this case, it is necessary to achieve a TOEIC Score exceeding 800 after joining Rakuten in order to be eligible to become a regular employee.
If no evidence is available to prove the qualifications denoted above, taking an IP test, organized by Rakuten, during selection process is required.
