Role Mission & Mandate
As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will play a critical role in elevating the talent by recruiting top tier professionals. We are looking for someone who excels at building relationships, understands the unique demands of the veterinary industry and takes pride in providing an exceptional hiring manager and candidate experience.
You will own the full recruitment lifecycle through a high touch, relationship driven approach while guiding hiring managers and candidates through an efficient and candidate centric selection process. Working within our People Team, you’ll collaborate cross functionally to match exceptional talent based equally on professional skills, team fit, and alignment to our VetStrategy values.

Talent Acquisition Process
• Drive the recruitment process by devising, implementing and following up on a search strategy for each role
• Identify and execute various traditional and creative sourcing techniques: mobilizing your and other stakeholders’ networks, internet searches, referral programs, social media, direct sourcing, job platforms
• Initiate contact with candidates, schedule and conduct pre-screening interviews, advise hiring managers, follow up on the process ensuring timely communication and prompt action
• Negotiate and extend job offers while coordinating with the Operations team
• Document interviews and working interviews debrief, provide feedback and communicate updates continuously to all parties
• Maintain accurate documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring managers’ interactions, and other recruiting activities in the applicant tracking system

Sourcing & Talent Pipelines
• Lead sourcing efforts for hard to fill and high impact roles through research, hiring tools and techniques
• Develop and maintain strong pipelines of future candidates for priority vacancies and geographically rural locations
• Leverage market intelligence through online and in person networking to expand reach and enhance sourcing effectiveness
• Collaborate with Recruitment Branding Manager to design engagement strategies that drive applications

Relationship Management
• Provide consultative support to all business areas, ensuring a thoughtful, cost-conscious approach with external search providers.
• Develop effective relationships with Support Office stakeholders, including hiring managers and business leaders, ensuring ongoing satisfaction with services provided.

Employer Brand & Candidate Engagement
• Support employer branding and awareness efforts through social media content creation and amplification
• Act as a brand ambassador by participating in national, industry, and campus events and conferences in partnership with the Recruitment Partnerships & Programs team to drive hiring awareness and promote our brand
• Partner with operations and clinic teams to identify local hiring needs and support the design and execution of targeted hiring events to drive candidate engagement and pipeline generation
• Collaborate with Recruitment Branding Manager to design continuous engagement strategies that drive applications to the Talent Acquisition team

Recruiting Programs
• Support, advocate or lead recruiting projects that enhance the hiring manager and candidate experience throughout the recruiting process
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve recruitment operations

Accountability & Performance
• Responsible to deliver for KPIs tied to pipeline development and qualified leads that convert to hires
• Weekly updates and performance reporting on activities and outcomes

Experience Profile
• 3+ years of recruitment experience focusing on hard to fill or niche positions where candidate sourcing is a standard
• Experience in veterinary or human health care industries preferred
• Advanced experience with LinkedIn Recruiter
• Able to talent map and build recruiting strategy based on industry or competitor research
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing hiring needs
• Fluently bilingual, English and French
• Excellent communication skills — you’re a natural connector and storyteller, able to build trust and relationships
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• High-level negotiation, influence, and presentation skills with senior management
• Demonstrated initiative, collaboration, and team-first mindset
• Genuine care for building meaningful internal and external relationships
