Job Opportunity: Bilingual Support Assistant (English/Italian)
Location Vicenza, Italy
Start Date Immediate
Schedule Full-time (30 hours/week)

Make a Difference Behind the Mission

Bridge language and cultural gaps as a Bilingual Support Assistant at Army Community Services. Your fluency in both English and Italian will help service members, families, and civilian personnel navigate life in Italy with greater confidence and ease. This position offers the unique opportunity to use your language skills to make a meaningful impact during critical life transitions for military families.

This position is an excellent fit for a military spouse or someone with first-hand experience supporting military life, offering both professional fulfillment and scheduling flexibility.

What You'll Do
  • Provide bilingual assistance (English and Italian) to ACS customers in person and over the phone
  • Perform non-legal, non-medical translations for service members, families, and civilian personnel
  • Assist customers with completing documentation and forms in both languages
  • Support ACS-hosted community integration workshops with translation services
  • Maintain data tracking and reporting through the Client Tracking System (CTS)
  • Prepare monthly status reports summarizing bilingual service utilization
  • Coordinate translation timelines with customers and COR for complex documents
  • Maintain daily customer sign-in sheets and documentation records
  • Provide cultural insights to help facilitate smoother host nation integration


What You Bring
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse populations
  • You are detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • You are cultural aware and sensitive to both American and Italian customs


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative functions and customer service
  • Fluent (Level 4) proficiency in both English and Italian—reading, writing, and speaking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows-based programs
