Bilingual Receptionist

Location: CHANEL Toronto Offices
Reports to: President
Contract Full-time, Temporary position (until December 2026)

Your role @Chanel:

As the first point of contact, physically and virtually, for all staff and visitors in our Toronto offices, your role will be to welcome and take care of your internal and external clients and oversee the day to day on of the office.

In addition to being the face of our Toronto offices, this role will dedicate a proportion of their role to providing additional receptionist support to our Candiac, Québec Warehouse (virtual switchboard system).


What impact you can create at Chanel:

  • As you will be the first point of contact in person and for incoming switchboard facilities, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient, effective and professional service to all your clients.

  • You will be responsible for creative a positively memorable experience for any staff member or visitor who contacts or enters the building.

  • You will be managing the ‘Reception’ to be immaculately well-presented, covered and considered at all times, while leaving no guest or request unanswered.

  • You will ensure proactive management of the boardroom and meetings (scheduling, catering, beverages, etc.) as well as manage all in-coming and outgoing mail.

  • You will collaborate with the internal teams, more specifically the Public Relations and Training teams on ad hoc requests and projects and offering your excellent organisation tools as a helping hand, in various scenarios.

  • You will be the go-to person for general queries and company knowledge to your clients, whether it be ‘New Joiner’ processes to fire drills, employee job title’s, etc.

  • You will be responsible for executing even simple tasks the best they can be; booking FedEx requests, ordering of product in bulk and getting people into the building safely and securely, and more.

Although comprehensive, the job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be added according to the needs of the business. Additional and more detailed duties will be shared during training stage.

  • Mandatory Bilingualism (French & English).

  • An approachable, kind and client-orientated demeanour.

  • Exemplary organisation and coordination skills.

  • Ability to work methodically, enjoyment in following or creating processes but the capacity to not become flustered when things do not go to plan.

  • Excellent communication skills including verbal and written.

  • Ability to prioritise workload, requests and spontaneous scenarios.

  • Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround.

  • Demonstration of being a team-player.

  • Professionalism and ability to act with unwavering discretion.
