
JOB TITLE: Bilingual Peer Support Specialist (Spanish/English)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full Time
Location: Onsite/New Hanover and Brunswick Counties
REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
HS Diploma or higher, combined with knowledge of wellness and recovery-based concepts. Personal experience as a consumer of mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment, or some equivalent experience preferred. Ability to complete a peer education training program, if needed.
Required Skills: Fluent in both Spanish and English
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Peer Support Specialist provides recovery based supportive services for Coastal Horizons clients to assist them in pursuing and achieving health, wellness, & recovery goals. The Peer Support Specialist will provide support to individuals seeking treatment via a Call Center to streamline individuals into treatment, provide resources, and engage at the onset of treatment services. Must be able to exemplify strong communication skills when answering incoming calls.
