Job Description

This position is part of the Corporate Finance Group and focuses on credit analysis and credit approval for lending to primarily Japanese corporate clients . The Credit Analyst will: Analyze companies’ financial statements , including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow. Evaluate credit risk, business risks, and industry conditions . Assign and maintain internal credit ratings . Prepare credit application and approval memos and coordinate the internal approval process. Monitor existing borrowers and conduct periodic credit reviews . Work closely with Relationship Managers, Risk Management, and Head Office . Communicate credit analysis and transaction details to Head Office and internal risk teams. Provide credit and risk recommendations to the front-office/Relationship Management team. Support the bank's credit policies and risk management framework . Requirements Required: Minimum 3 years of experience at a bank or financial institution. Strong experience in financial statement and credit analysis . Strong understanding of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow. Business-level English , both written and verbal. Business-level Japanese ; native or near-native preferred. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred: Corporate banking experience. Experience working with Japanese corporate clients . Knowledge of credit rating models and credit approval processes . Understanding of the U.S. market and regulatory environment .
