
Pay Rate: $21.56 per hour
This position is full time (7.5) hours per day (8 am - 4 pm), Monday through Friday, during the school year. See attached work calendar for exact work dates. This position comes with paid time off and is benefit eligible.
The purpose of this position is to provide instructional support to the English Language teacher (EL) and classroom teachers. This position will assist in supporting the instruction of ELs in the classroom; and assist in bridging communication between home and school and to support the students' understanding of their new environment by respecting dual language/dual cultural experiences.

Minimum Training, Education and/or Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions. Must meet the following standards for this position.
Communication and Language Skills (English and at least one other language)
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate decimals and percents, including more advanced mathematical processes.
Analytical and Reasoning Ability
a)Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.
b)Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and deal with problems involving several abstract and concrete variables.

Physical Attributes
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Must have current physical on file with the district certifying applicant is able to meet all job qualifications.
