Responsabilités professionnelles
Montrer l’exemple, en respectant toutes les politiques et procédures de santé et sécurité de l’entreprise
Planifier, organiser et mener efficacement la formation en matière de santé et de sécurité en veillant à ce que les exigences législatives soient respectées et actualiser la matrice de formation
Fournir l’information de manière claire et motivante en s’assurant que les participants comprennent le matériel et sont motivés à respecter ce qui est enseigné
Analyser et évaluer l’efficacité de la formation
Travailler en collaboration avec les gestionnaires
Aider à réviser et mettre à jour le programme d’études existant au besoin
Aider à l’élaboration de nouveaux programmes de formation et à la préparation de nouveaux documents de formation qui répondent aux normes établies
Maintenir et organiser un environnement de formation propre
Contribuer à la mise en œuvre de programmes de santé et sécurité pour diminuer les blessures au travail
Signaler à la direction toute violation des réglementations légales ou des politiques de l'entreprise
Qualifications
Éducation postsecondaire en gestion de la santé et de la sécurité de préférence
3-5 ans d’expérience en santé et sécurité de préférence
Excellentes compétences en communication à l’oral et à l’écrit et capacité à travailler avec tous les niveaux de l’organisation
Bonne connaissance des lois, règlements et normes régissant la santé et la sécurité au travail
Excellente compréhension des risques majeurs liés aux véhicules utilitaires, sécurité des machines, verrouillage/tagout, manutention en hauteur, gestion chimique et ergonomie
Certifié pour former le formateur à l’utilisation de chariots élévateurs
Certifié pour former le formateur aux premiers secours
Bon sens de l’organisation
Compétence avancée dans l'utilisation d'Excel, Outlook, Word et Windows
Autorisé à travailler au Canada
Capacité de voyager
Ce poste exige la maîtrise du français et de l'anglais.

Role: Bilingual Health and Safety Specialist
We are looking for Enthusiastic, Driven, Outside of the Box Thinkers to help us grow our business. In the specialized role of Bilingual Health and Safety Specialist, you will be a valuable and key member of our Roofmart team. This position is responsible for leading and facilitating Health and Safety Training and will report to the Health and Safety Manager.

Job Responsibilities
Lead by example, complying with all company Health and Safety policies and procedures
Plan, organize and effectively conduct Health and Safety Training ensuring legislative requirements are met and update training matrix
Deliver the information in a clear and motivational manner ensuring participants understand the material and are motivated to comply with what is taught
Evaluate and assess training effectiveness
Work collaboratively with Managers
Assist in revising and updating the existing curriculum as required
Assist in developing new training programs and in the preparation of new training materials that meet established standards
Maintain and organize a clean training environment
Assist in the implementation of Health and Safety programs with the goal to reduce workplace injuries
Report any breaches of legislative regulations or company policies to management
Qualifications
Post-Secondary Education in Health and Safety Management preferred
3-5 years of Health and Safety experience preferred
Excellent communication skills both orally and written and ability to work with all levels of the organization
Good knowledge of laws, regulations and standards governing occupational health and safety
Good knowledge of the major risks associated with commercial vehicles, machine safety, lockout/tagout, working at heights, chemical management and ergonomics
Certified Train the Trainer in Forklift Operation
Certified Train the Trainer in First Aid
Good organization skills
Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and Windows Applications
Authorized to work in Canada
Ability to travel
French is required for this position
Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000
