Job Description
A well-established Fresh Produce Distributor is searching for a General Manager to join their team. The position is responsible for the effective operation of the Shipping, Receiving, Transportation, Quality, Production and Facility departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop people, build winning teams, and deploy learning opportunities that ultimately help people find the best version of themselves.
- Review and direct staffing plans to maximize productivity levels and minimize operating expenses.
- Adhere to budget requirements and improve efficiencies within the warehouse & fleet operations.
- Deliver strategic plans, continually revise and deploy SOPs, keep us relevant with customer demand and emerging ways of doing business.
- Establish, benchmark, measure and improve all operational KPIs.

- Cold Chain Logistics & Cooler Operations experience.
- Inventory Control & Cost Management.
- Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance.
- Customer Relationship & Sales Support.
- Increase net profit margin %
- Operational Leadership & Workforce Management.
- Financial Literacy for Produce Operations.
- Export Operations experience.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret P&L statements, manage budgets, and apply sound accounting principles.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, evaluate market trends, and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 and general technology tool.
- Produce Quality Standards & Shelf-Life Management experience.
- Active involvement within industry associations, groups, or networks.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
