Le Représentant du service sur le terrain base sur Montreal est chargé de fournir une assistance sur place aux clients couvrant Montreal, Ottawa, et Quebec – ainsi que d’autres provinces au nécessaire. Responsabilités du poste :

  • Assurer des astreintes périodiques le week-end qui nécessitent une assistance sur place et des déplacements.
  • Installer et entretenir des instruments de laboratoire de diagnostic complexes, avec un minimum de supervision directe, en réponse aux demandes programmées et urgentes des clients, conformément aux normes ISO et GMP en vigueur.
  • Remplir tous les documents de service requis par la fonction du poste ou demandés par d'autres fonctions de l'entreprise, conformément aux exigences actuelles des BPF.
  • Signaler et documenter toutes les réclamations des clients dans les systèmes d'enregistrement appropriés en vue d'une résolution et d'une enquête.
  • Assurer le suivi des clients qui ont récemment bénéficié d'un service, afin de vérifier le fonctionnement de l'instrument et la satisfaction du client.
  • Maintenir correctement l'inventaire du coffre dans les limites établies par la liste des pièces de rechange recommandées.
  • Maintenir en bon état de fonctionnement tous les équipements et outils d'essai étalonnés qui lui sont attribués et respecter les dates d'étalonnage.
  • Faire preuve de discernement dans l'utilisation de la carte de crédit de l'entreprise, tout en respectant les niveaux de dépenses dans le cadre des lignes directrices établies.
  • Entretenir et utiliser le véhicule de l'entreprise conformément aux exigences de la politique automobile, y compris l'entretien, la propreté et l'organisation du véhicule à tout moment.
  • Remplir toutes les exigences administratives du poste dans les délais prévus.
  • Fournir une assistance téléphonique et sur site selon les horaires publiés ou dans un délai très court, en fonction des besoins de l'entreprise.
  • Participer à des formations aux États-Unis et en Europe sur les instruments assignés, selon les besoins.

Formation et expérience requises :

  • DEP ou DEC en génie mécanique, mécanique industrielle, automatisation ou autre formation pertinente.
  • Deux (2) ans et plus d'expérience en entreprise dans une fonction de service sur le terrain dans le domaine des dispositifs médicaux sont requis.


Compétences requises :

  • Bilingue français et anglais (lu, parlé, écrit) est nécessaire pour communiquer avec les parties prenantes internes et externes dans toutes les provinces, y compris les clients francophones au Québec.
  • Faire preuve flexibilité pour voyager jusqu'à 60% du temps en dehors du territoire principal, en fonction des besoins de l'entreprise.
  • Comprendre et appliquer une méthodologie de dépannage rigoureuse lors des contacts avec les clients sur des problèmes techniques avancés.
  • Faire preuve d'excellentes compétences interpersonnelles, d'un sens aigu de l'organisation et des priorités et d'une passion pour la prestation d'un excellent service.
  • Capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois et à s'adapter à des environnements commerciaux changeants.
  • Solides compétences en matière d'analyse et de résolution de problèmes.
  • Être à l'aise dans un environnement d'équipe dynamique et pluridisciplinaire.
  • Capacité à travailler de manière indépendante et en équipe.
  • Maîtrise des outils MS Office tels que Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.


Informations complémentaires

  • Le candidat doit être très mobile, flexible, capables et désireux de se déplacer en dehors de la région de Montréal, selon les besoins et dans des délais très courts.
  • Doit participer à la formation sur les instruments qui lui sont attribués, sur demande.
  • Doit pouvoir se rendre aux États-Unis à des fins de formation pendant 1 à 3 semaines au cours des 24 premiers mois d'emploi et périodiquement par la suite, par ligne de produits ou selon les besoins.
  • Doit posséder et conserver un permis de conduire valide et un dossier de conduite vierge depuis au moins trois ans, et satisfaire aux normes de sécurité automobile de l’entreprise.
  • Doit être capable de soulever un poids de 70 livres au minimum et de travailler debout pendant de longues périodes. Ce poste exige de pousser, tirer, se baisser, se pencher et soulever des charges considérables.

The Field Service Representative (Montreal based) is responsible for providing on-site support to our customers mostly in Montreal, Ottawa and Quebec – will support other provinces as needed. This includes, but is not limited to, installation support, corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, and equipment relocations.

Job responsibilities:

  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends, which may require travel and on-site support.
  • Install and maintain complex diagnostic laboratory instruments with minimal direct supervision, responding to both scheduled and urgent customer requests in compliance with applicable ISO and GMP standards.
  • Complete all service documentation required for the position and by other company functions in accordance with current GMP requirements.
  • Report and document all customer complaints in the appropriate tracking systems for investigation and resolution.
  • Follow up with customers after service visits to ensure proper instrument performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain trunk stock inventory within established levels based on recommended spare parts lists.
  • Ensure all assigned calibrated tools and test equipment are maintained in proper working condition and calibration dates are met.
  • Exercise sound judgment when using the company credit card while adhering to established spending guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain the company vehicle in accordance with company vehicle policy, including vehicle maintenance, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Complete all administrative requirements associated with the position in a timely manner.
  • Provide telephone and on-site support according to published schedules or on short notice, as business needs dictate.
  • Attend training programs in the United States and Europe on assigned instruments as required.

Required Education and Experience

  • DEP or DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Mechanics, Automation, or another related technical discipline.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of industry experience in a field service role within the medical device sector is required.

Knowledge and Skills required:

  • Bilingual in French and English (read, write, speak), with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across Canada, including French-speaking customers in Quebec.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to travel up to 60% of the time outside the primary territory, based on business needs.
  • Ability to understand and apply a structured troubleshooting methodology when addressing advanced technical issues with customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent organizational and prioritization abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Additional Information

  • Candidates must be highly mobile, flexible, and willing to travel outside the Montreal area on short notice when required.
  • Must participate in training on assigned instruments as requested.
  • Must be able to travel to the United States for training for periods of one to three weeks during the first 24 months of employment and periodically thereafter, depending on product line and business needs.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, a clean driving record for a minimum of three years and meet company vehicle safety standards.
  • Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds and stand for extended periods. The position requires pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and lifting heavy equipment and materials.
