Reporting to the Director, Marketing, the Bilingual Content Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the Bank’s content strategy in both English and French. You will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing high-quality, original content that aligns with the brand voice and strategic objectives. You will oversee the end-to-end content lifecycle, ensuring all materials meet translation standards, regulatory requirements, and internal approval processes. Your work will span multiple audiences requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams, freelance writers, graphic designers, and external agencies. In this role, you will lead the development and execution of long-form content initiatives, manage the content calendar, and ensure all digital content is optimized for SEO and AI discoverability.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Writing and editing original copy that is accurate, well-researched, and aligned with Haventree Bank’s brand voice.
  • Ensure adherence to French/English translation requirements for the Enterprise
  • Manage, coordinate and maintain the copy content needs across departments that touch borrower, broker, depositor and internal audiences.
  • Ensure copy is reviewed by appropriate stakeholders, and feedback approvals are tracked for audit purposes.
  • Adhere to any compliance, copyright, and advertising regulations or legislation
  • Lead the strategy & execution for Haventree Banks long form content, including ownership of content calendar, collaborating with freelance writers as needed, working with cross-functional teams to deliver on opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Social Media & Communications Manager on integrated content programs.
  • Ensure web content is SEO/AI optimized
  • Collaboration with Graphic Designers and agencies to ensure long form content has appropriate visuals to support.

Qualifications & Experience:

Degrees, Diplomas & Certifications:

  • The position requires a bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or Media Studies or an equivalent level of education and work experience

Years and Range of Experience Required to Perform the Job:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a copywriter or communications specialist preferably within the Mortgage industry (or financial services). The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional presentation skills.
  • Well-rounded understanding of multi-channel communication strategy (Web, print, mobile, email, SMS, mail) in both a B2B and B2C environment
  • Contentful or similar Content Management System is an asset.
  • Detail-oriented and well organized
  • Able to perform well in a fast-paced operation, and with repetitive tasks
  • Multi-task, with the ability to deal with deadline pressures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Must be bilingual in French and English
