We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual (Chinese/Mandarin) Legal Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist with organizing case files, communicating with clients in both languages, and facilitating a variety of tasks in the prelitigation phase of personal injury cases.

About the role

Client Communications:

• Assistin communicating with clients to gather initial case information, update them on case status and address inquiries

• Maintain a positive and client-focused approach in all interactions
  
  Case File Organization:

• Aid in the organization and maintenance of pre-litigation case files, ensuringaccuracyand completeness

• Assistin tracking and updating case information in the case management system
  
  Document Preparation:

• Assistin the preparation of necessary documents for case evaluations, including summaries, timelines, and client communications

• Ensurethatall documents are properly labeled, files, and accessibleforcase managers
  
  Medical Records Coordination:

• Support in coordinating the retrieval of medical records and bills relevant to pre-litigation cases

• Liaise with medical providers to gather necessary documentation
  
  Task Coordination:

• Assistin coordinating tasks related to the pre-litigation process, ensuring timelines are met

• Collaborate with legal professionals tofacilitatecase progression
  
  Client Advocacy:

• Uphold a client-focused approach, advocating for client needs and ensuring a positive client experience

• Address client inquiries and concerns, escalating complex issues to case managers
  
  Administrative Support:

• Provide general administrative support, including data entryand electronic filing

• Assistinmaintainingorganized and up-to-date case files
  
  Calendar Management:

• Aid in managing calendars and scheduling appointments for case managers

• Ensure efficient coordination of appointments and follow-ups

Qualifications

• Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese)required

• Experience working with Chinesespeaking clients, withdemonstratedability to communicate effectively in both languages

• Proficiencyin reading, writing, and speaking Chinese and English; toassistwith client interactions, documentation, and case file management

• Previousexperience in an administrative or support role, preferably in a legal or client-focused setting

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks

• Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
